Gleneagles | Riviera in the Highlands

Scotland

An iconic country estate nestled in the breathtaking Ochil Hills of Perthshire, just where the Highlands begin, the Gleneagles Hotel has been a luxury destination for nearly 100 years and is a dream haven for anyone looking for a countryside retreat and seeking to enjoy the beauty of Scotland’s wild nature. When it opened in 1924, this magnificent five-star luxury hotel was aptly named the ‘Riviera in the Highlands’.

With its 850-acre setting, this member of ‘The Leading Hotels of the World’ offers the perfect playground for golf lovers and is famed for its three championship golf courses. Let’s not forget to mention its award-winning spa and its two-starred Michelin restaurant. It even has its own railway station!

Whilst its exterior architecture reminds us of a French château, its interiors are full of character and style: a carefully-thought remake of jazz-age glamour paying tribute to the hotel’s Art Deco origins.

With its impressive sense of space, sumptuous decor and unrivalled views of the beautiful Glendevon and Ochil Hills, the Royal Lochnagar suite epitomizes Gleneagles’ grandeur and constitutes the most luxurious and beautiful suite of the hotel. The opulent furnishings celebrate the building’s heritage and warm Scottish hospitality characteristic of Gleaneagles. The grandiosity of this suite is underlined by a traditional canopy-dressed four poster bed.

Our Double Lowther vanity basin suite, which is our largest unit, finds perfectly its place in this spacious en-suite bathroom. Like all our other marble basins, it is hand cut with detailed moulding, including integrated soap dishes. Its deep and spacious tops are made in china, which has been hand-poured to ensure a unique finish. The veins of the Arabescato marble beautifully nods to the black floor tiles. This centrepiece blends in superbly in this Art deco-inspired and elegant décor, defined by smart panelled walls, a pair of oversize mirrors and a decorative pendant light.
