London Design Biennale
7th to 27th September – Somerset House, London
‘The World re-imagines the world’ at this exhibition, featuring newly commissioned works and installations from 30 countries, spread over 6 continents. The diversity of the displays will open your eyes to a previously unimagined wealth of Utopian visions, which are dreamed of in different architectural languages in every corner of the globe.

London Design Festival
17th to 25th September – Various Venues, London
There is something for everyone at the London Design Festival. Held annually to celebrate and promote the best of design London has to offer, this year features nearly 400 events – all crammed into one action packed week! Find what you love and plan your festival at Londondesignfestival.com, or pick up a map in a participating venue. Why not start at the V&A, one of the central hubs of the festival? The V&A will be playing host to an eclectic mix of pieces, including the curiously compelling ‘Liquid Marble’ (shown below) by Mathieu Lehanneur.

Open House London
17th to 18th September – Various Venues, London
Held annually, Open House London is the capital’s largest annual festival of architecture and design and includes more than 700 buildings, walks, talks and tours. These are categorised into: ‘Design For Living’, ‘How the City Works’, ‘Places and Spaces’, ‘A Greener City’ and ‘VocalEyes’, a special selection of tactile buildings, audio described for the blind and partially sighted.

Decorex
18th to 21st September – Syon Park, Greater London
A fixture in every design-lovers calendar, Decorex 2016 takes it back to the ‘Roots of Design’, with a special focus on makers and design processes, examining the rich texture of influences that have shaped interior design today. You can find us amongst 400 other top brands on stand D20, where in addition to a first look at our new product ranges, our special manufacturing room will offer a fascinating insight into our own unique Drummonds design and manufacturing processes.

100% Design
21th to 24th September – London Olympia
If contemporary design is your bag, make sure you stay up to date and set a date to visit 100% Design, the UK’s largest and most cutting edge contemporary design show. This year, 100% Design explores the theme of ‘Experience’, considering how design improves the ways that we live, work and play.

Luxury Made
21th to 24th September – Pillar Halls, London Olympia.
New for 2016, Luxury Made is the little Sister of 100% Design. A more exclusive, selective approach has been taken to putting this together and it promises to be a sumptuous affair. Will it become a design fixture in years to come? Make the trip this year and set the trend.

Design Junction
22th to 25th September – Kings Cross
Heralded as ‘The Next Chapter’ for Design Junction’s 10th year they have teamed up with the University of the Arts London and moved into vibrant, buzzing Kings Cross. The new layout sees four hubs making up the event, specialising in different areas so you can focus your attention on the design sectors that are most important to you. The opening night alone promises to be the ‘World’s Biggest Design Party’, featuring a DJ set from Alexis Taylor of Hot Chip. See you on the dancefloor!

3rd to 10th September
If you’re quick, you can catch the conclusion of Paris Design Week this weekend. There’s still lots to see and do across the city, with over 200 events across the week, we’re sure they’ve saved the best ‘till last!

What’s New What’s Next – New York
