The Usk is a freestanding cast iron bath, its polished sheen and elegant lines adding luxury to any bathroom. Our designers have taken inspiration from the 18th Century Bateau 'boat' bath style and have created a tub with showstopping quality.

Traditionally the Bateau bath was made in copper, so we offer a copper clad cast iron bath (The Copper Usk) and a Brass variant (The Brass Usk) in addition to our full range of finishes.

For IAPMO/MA listed bathtubs, please specify a tub with slip resistance.

Revealing The Iron Beneath

Revealing The Iron Beneath

It takes up to 14 hours for a single skilled foundry worker to hand-polish the exterior of a Drummonds cast iron bath. This meticulous process reveals the raw, hand-poured iron beneath, refining it to a smooth, high-shine finish that honours the material’s natural pitting and subtle irregularities. Once perfected, the surface is sealed with a specialist lacquer, preserving its depth and lustre for years to come. Polished iron is one of our choices of custom finishing a bath tub, offering a refined, architectural presence within both traditional and contemporary interiors.

The Art Of Hand-Enamelling

The Art Of Hand-Enamelling

Enamelling and hand-finishing each bath demands patience and precision. Our own powdered enamel is sprinkled by hand - up to five layers deep - before firing, creating the gently undulating surface that defines the interior of every bath. The enamel fuses with the cast iron itself, forming a surface of exceptional durability.
