Classic Elegance

by Pans Lodge

Located in the remote Buckinghamshire countryside, this eight-bedroom Victorian property underwent an extensive renovation that took over two years to complete. Central to the makeover was the transformation of the property’s main bathrooms; the owners tasked interior design studio Pan’s Lodge with the reconfiguration of the rooms.

It was essential that the new bathrooms reflected the grandeur and style of the property. Therefore, Drummonds bathroom ware was the perfect choice for the project; rooted in classic, English design and made using traditional manufacturing methods, Drummonds’ products sit in perfect harmony with the style and ‘soul’ of the house.

Designed to make a statement, the main ensuite features Drummonds magnificent Tyne copper bath as the centrepiece of the space. It is flanked on either side by bespoke cabinetry, designed by Clive Christian, which has been infused with intricate decorative detailing and features two under-mounted porcelain basins. Mull basin mixers in a nickel finish perfectly complement the book-matched San Marino marble surfaces and soft, neutral colour palette of the room. Classic statement mirrors and bold Christopher Hyde chandeliers enhance the grand feel of the space.

Echoing many of the elements found in the ensuite, the guest bathroom also features bespoke cabinetry from Clive Christian, as well Drummonds’ freestanding  Swale Cast Iron Bathtub in a polished cast iron finish, featured throughout.

In contrast, the ground floor cloakroom showcases a warmer colour palette, with the owners opting for Drummonds’ bespoke Single Lowther Vanity stand in an antique Brushed Brass finish. This provides the perfect juxtaposition to the cool Carrara marble top and back panel. As space was limited in the cloakroom, Drummonds designed bespoke pieces, scaling down their classic bathroom ware but still delivering on style and substance.
