With spring starting to blossom and the Easter right around the corners, we are feeling most inspired by the light, bright tones that capture the season.
Pastel shades evoke the young leaves, flowers and fruit blossoms that can only mean one thing, the start of Spring!
Cooler blue hues make a divine combination with the soft pinks, bringing to mind watery blue spring skies. The pink and blue combination is also very much on trend this year, with Pantone selecting both a blue (Serenity) and pink (Rose Quartz) shade as the ‘colour of the year 2016’. This is the first time Pantone has ever selected a colour combination in place of a single colour, and when you look at the two of them together it is clear to see why!
Pastels don’t have to be sweet and simpering, their powdery tones in more muted colours can bring rustic, faded, vintage vibes to a more sophisticated scheme.
