On Wednesday 10th September we had the pleasure of hosting Homes & Gardens’ reader event. Giles Kime, the executive editor, led the morning which featured a conversation with leading designer Christopher Jenner and talks from London’s iconic family-owned fragrance company, Floris.

Christopher Jenner shared his design process with us, revealing the secrets of luxury design with reference to some of his latest work which of course included his bathroom furniture range for Drummonds, the Notting Hill Collection. He explained his love of craftsmanship and how the collection was an expression of “putting emotion back into design” through sourcing talented makers and the finest natural materials.

Floris nose Edward Bodenham delivered a fascinating talk on the establishment of Floris in London, sharing anecdotes involving famous Floris customers including Florence Nightingale, Winston Churchill and the Queen! We were then invited by Penny Ellis to try some ourselves, a wonderfully sensory experience.

The morning was concluded by Christopher Jenner drawing the winner of the competition for his unique Italian glass light! Every guest then received a gift from Drummonds, Christopher Jenner and Floris to take home with them.

With delightful treats for all of the senses, the morning was an inspiring and thoroughly enjoyable experience. A huge thank you to everyone who was involved, and of course to every one of you who came! We hope to see you back at Drummonds Kings Road again very soon.
