Spa ideas for your home

by Hannah Gaskin

Before enjoying your perfect bath, whether it’s just you personally, to enjoy with your partner, bathing your kids or even your dog… make sure you get it right.

First – ensure the room temperature and water temperature are just the way you want them. Its recommended that the water should be slightly warmer that your body temperature, which is roughly 37°C.

Spend time creating good lighting. Candles – especially scented ones – can be good – but maybe not for the dog. Place these out of reach for inquisitive little fingers – Use more liberally when safe to do so.

Choose a playlist that suits your mood. Whether it’s classical, relaxing, jazz, musicals, pop, classic rock or an acoustic – the choices are endless.

A drink by your side, whether its hot chocolate, a cup of tea, coffee, glass of water, wine or prosecco is a nice addition. Keep hot drinks away from slippery hands and enthusiastic bathers.

You could even bring a book with you and lose track of time in your space.
