Interior Trends | Autumn 2014

As September dawns, autumn is upon us but instead of shutting out the cooler breezes and falling leaves, try bringing a little of the season into your home with our trend recommendations.

Natural materials have made a resurgence in interiors in 2014, and wood in particular is a beautiful material for autumn. Bringing a warm, rustic feel its versatility lends itself to any space. It pairs beautifully with copper and brass metals which also saw a revival this year. Accent your space with shelves, chairs or make a feature by investing in hardwood feature pieces. Using reclaimed wood where possible is the most ecological solutionand adds an authentic ‘lived in’ feel to your home.

Bold prints splashed across your walls define your space, and can be used to update the style and feel. Autumn sees the introduction of luscious greens and earthy browns as trees, leaves and foliage make an appearance, the perfect prints to take you from autumn/winter through to spring. Add floral accents to brighten and enliven or a matte pallet to create an earthy feel.
