3 Tottenham Mews

Contemporary Apartments: Interior design project by Studio Bastien

Studio Bastien have recently completed the interiors of 3 Tottenham Mews, a luxury development nestled in the heart of Fitzrovia, just off vibrant Charlotte Street.

A lively and fashionable neighbourhood, Fitzrovia is one of London’s signature dining locations and boasts a collection of boutique hotels, chic cafés and stylish bars. With its rich and eclectic history, the beautiful residential streets of the area have a village feel away from the frenzy of nearby Soho and Covent Garden.

Designed by RIBA Stirling Prize winner, AHMM Architects, the building’s façade sets a contemporary tone for this classic setting. Drawing on its surroundings and the traditional mews style, the brickwork and painted metal create a stylish and statement entrance to the eight apartments.

The client wanted to ensure that the project stood out from the typical ‘developer’ look; they wanted something a little bit different and interesting, with more colour, texture and finish to create a more sophisticated feel.

Studio Bastien answered this brief by designing interiors that exude luxury and are perfect for modern city living. They feature exquisite fixtures and fittings by well-known interiors brands including: DeVOL kitchens, Ted Todd floors, lights from Rose Uniacke and of course, Drummonds’ bathroomware.

All the bathrooms have Drummonds’ baths, basins and taps. Freestanding baths were specified to add a touch of luxury, often not found in central London apartments. The walls are in polished plaster, in various shades to complement the baths, and feature marble floor and wall tiles in the shower area.

3 Tottenham Mews offers the best of both worlds: a sumptuous but cosy hideaway with a wonderful, lively neighbourhood on its doorstep.
