Luxurious Master Bathroom | Five-Storey House, London

by Dust Architecture

In the context of a full internal refurbishment, this beautiful master bathroom is part of a new roof top extension of a five-storey house in Chelsea, London. Designed by Dust Architecture, the aim with the bathroom was to create a light and airy space that utilised the sloping roof to the front of the house to draw in the east light in the mornings through the use of roof lights. The desired bathroom aesthetic was one of opulence, which was achieved with the use of marble alongside our sanitary ware.

The overall colour scheme of this spacious and bright bathroom is dominated by shades of white and grey, giving a sleek, modern yet timeless look to the whole space. The crisp white walls go hand in hand with the grey-veined marble, used for the floor and shower room. All of Drummonds’ products have been chosen in a nickel finish, to bring a bit of warmth to the bathroom.

First, the shower room. The natural veining of marble makes for a gorgeous backdrop to a walk-in shower. Applying the same tiles from floor to ceiling makes the shower look almost seamless. With a small bench added, this is the perfect space to relax after a long busy day. This space features our Art Deco- inspired Chessleton shower range, defined by an angular and elegant design and cast by hand in solid brass to ensure the highest quality. This includes the curvy and simple lines of the Chessleton shower arm and small rose. It’s complemented by the Chessleton Shower Plate Thermo & 2 Way with metal handles for a more decorative shower space. The shower space features also lighting adding to the luxurious feel.

Our stunning Double Thames vanity basin, designed with an angular art deco look, is highlighted by two rectangular tilt mirrors, both framed by single Chessleton lights with fluted glass shades. Very sophisticated with its White Arabescato marble, this vanity is also very practical thanks to its built-in shelf for additional storage.

Let’s not forget the accessories, perfect finishing touch to any bathroom, which are in a nickel finish to match with existing fittings. They are all unique as they are made using a lost wax casting process. The two robe hooks may be small but they’re still made to the same high-quality standard of each and every one of our brassware pieces. The perfectly sized towel rings will enable you to hold your hand towels neatly in place.

Very elegant, the Tamar bath is painted in a light grey hue to blend in beautifully with the rest of the bathroom space. It has a lower rim for easy access and a neat roll top. The bath taps are part of the Chessleton range, to coordinate with the basin taps and the shower components.
