Richmond Country House

by Todhunter Earle

This stunning country house, located in beautiful Richmond, has been designed by Todhunter Earle. This is the perfect example of a classic and traditional English country house, a real haven of peace away from London’s hectic atmosphere.

Let’s focus on this room which mixes the attributes of a living room and of a bathroom. The colours have been chosen carefully to convey a sense of relaxation to the living space. Also, the muted colour palette and white walls, paired with a light wood floor, open the room up to maximise the natural light.

The Swale bath is the centrepiece of this room. This symmetrical double ended tub has been expertly designed as a more compact way of bringing the elegance of a free-standing bath to a room. It’s thus a great design for petite spaces. The roll top has been scaled so that it is large and comfortable enough to welcome two people. What’s more, its lower rim allows for easy access. The perfect bath for a comfortable and relaxing soak. The silver hue of the bath matches beautifully with the overall chromatic palette made up of neutral whites and greys.

The tub features our small bath rack- which enables you to keep essentials within reach in a sophisticated way. This hand-finished accessory is made of a thick brass plate to hold products, a separate soap dish and non-stick rubber wings to grip to the bath.
