A charming country retreat, the master bathroom of Kate Moss’s Cotswolds home features a range of classic pieces from Drummonds.
With beautiful high ceilings and original period features, it was important that the choice of fittings respect the heritage of the building whilst simultaneously injecting a touch of individuality into the space.
Drummonds’ Double Lowther vanity with striking Verde Guatemala marble forms a focal point of the room, sitting perfectly against the hand painted striped walls and warm oak floor.
The original single ended cast iron bath – similar to Drummonds’ Clyde – was restored and painted in a dusky pink colour, giving it a new lease of life.
Brassware in an unlacquered Brass finish features throughout, from the Mull Classic basin mixer to the freestanding towel radiator. This finish will age with time, creating a patina that is perfectly in-keeping with the overall style and feel of the building.
All the elements come together to create a calming, tranquil space that offers a peaceful retreat from busy city life. Kate says: “Drummonds produce beautiful pieces that allow luxury and escapism. My bathroom in the country is my favourite bathroom in the world, it’s my haven.”
