Picturesque Villa | Los Angeles, USA

Set back in the hills close to Malibu, California, this beautiful home was lovingly restored over years to match the exacting requirements of the owners.

The location, overlooking the Pacific Ocean with perfect temperatures and the calm and tranquillity of the area yet so close to vibrant LA, makes this property a very special place on earth.

The owners were looking to give the property a classic design, but with all the modern requirements that you could need.

The whole top floor is given over to separate bathrooms for ‘Him’ & ‘Her’, both with such great personal touches that make each unique and very colourful.

‘Her’ bathroom has some beautiful features including a custom double vanity with unlacquered brass fittings and a beautiful large double ended bath, The Spey, set against the Juliet balcony and the rolling hills.

The plunger waste unit, another stunning touch allows the bath to fill with no plug or chain in the bath and to drain by simply pulling and turning the waste unit.

There is a stunning shower room, clad in arabescato marble, to set off the brass Dalby shower with a curved pipe.

In ‘His’ bathroom, another custom vanity is stretched along one wall opposite The Spey bath tub. This tub has a beautiful dark grey colour and custom scroll feet to set off against the beautiful Nero Potoro marble which is almost tiger like, with its dark veins of gold through the black. This works so well with the brass hexagonal Chessleton fittings on the bath and the vanity.

The other bathrooms have great charm from the subtle grey painted Tamar offset with blue and white tiles to the custom black chinaware used in the downstairs cloakroom.

Humourous touches can been seen through the property with the Queen wallpaper working well in another powder room and our Naver vanity alongside.

With the generous kitchen, living spaces and dining rooms, this is a house we would love to spend a great deal of time in.
