There is currently a strong emphasis on quality craftsmanship and longevity in design, consumers are looking for materials that are not only beautiful but durable. High-quality and ultimately expensive products are investment pieces and need to withstand the test of time. Choosing the right materials and how to mix them is key to a design that will still be on trend for years to come.

Whether mixing marble, brass, wood, glass, stone or all of them together, you need to ensure you purchase from suppliers who are renowned for their craft.  Research where the raw materials are sourced from and what manufacturing processes are used to create the finished product. Handmade products will always have a better and more unique finish due to close attention to the smallest detail. We love this project from LA-based architects, Jamie Bush & Co: an exquisite mix of stone, glass, wood and steel.
